Affirmation Cards - A Positive And Fun Project
Affirmations cards are a wonderful way to display affirmations. You are more likely to develop the habit of using affirmations if you see these statements more often. There are many great affirmation cards on the market, but making your own has the benefit of allowing you to customize your messages. Here are four steps to a fun, easy and positive project.
Step one. What area or areas of your life would you like to improve? What is stressing you out right now? Just make a stream of thought list. Keep asking yourself what is bothering you until you run out of ideas. When you have everything written down, review your list and get a feel for the topics you want to work on. It may be work, health, money or a little bit of everything.
Step two. Create affirmations that solve the problems you listed in step one. Mentally transport yourself to the future where you have solved all these problems and have received or attained all you want. What statements would you make then? Create a positive, present tense affirmation. Revise each affirmation until all the words are positive and they feel good to you when you repeat them.
Step three. It’s craft time! Let yourself have fun with this step. Buy notecards and write your positive affirmations on each card. Decorate the cards with stickers, sketches, photos, images you cut out from magazines or anything that makes you smile.
Step four. Use your affirmation cards. Pull a card every morning and repeat it throughout your day. Stick them to your mirror, computer screen or anywhere else to remind you of the changes you want to make. The important part is to practice repeating your affirmations frequently. Really let them sink in and allow yourself feel good.
The process of using affirmations isn’t like traditional goal setting where you may try to bang something into your head. Affirmations are about choosing positive thoughts and thus paving a positive path for your future.
