Are You Familiar With Emotional Freedom Tapping?
I bet you’ve heard of EFT Tapping - Emotional Freedom Tapping? Are you experienced in doing EFT?
In this article, I’ll, introduce you to Emotional Tapping and the basic method of doing it.
First off, the method was created by Gary Craig, Emotional Freedom Technique founder. With your fingertips, you tap, on various energy meridian points on your torso and your face. While tapping, you tune in to an emotional issue..
You end up thinking and feeling differently about the issue. I’ll give you an example of the tapping technique.
Let’s say you have a disturbing memory from your childhood. You got in trouble for something you did. Remember the bad feelings of feeling ashamed?
During the years of your life, you have continued to believe that there is something wrong with you, even though you may not be consciously aware of that belief.
Now I’ll tell you how you’d use EFT therapy to resolve the feelings from that event and the belief you took on from it.
You recall the event of getting caught at the same time you tap on acupuncture points on your head, face and torso. There are eight tapping points that are commonly used by an EFT practitioner.
So, focusing on the event, and especially on your feelings from the event, you tap on the energy points. You can also focus on the belief you took from that event. - that something is wrong with you, or that you are bad.
What happens, is that after you’ve tapped while tuning into your memory, the actual memory can be transformed. You can go from feeling ashamed to feeling peaceful. Your emotional state can change from resentful, angry, anxious, blaming - to a sense of understanding and calm. You can go from feeling insecure to feeling confident.
Just like when learning anything of value, you’ll start at the beginning and gradually gain expertise. And, by watching this powerful Youtube EFT video, you just might take the next step to incorporate EFT into your life.
